Inu Traits

Ever wonder what makes Inu-chan act the way he does?

Well, ever since the idea of fanfiction was introduced, fanfiction writers gave deep, in-depth, detailed information concerning dog-boy's actions because of his "Inu traits" or "Canine traits".

Of course all of these are just based off how real dogs act and/or a mix of human and dog instincts together. We all know it can be done; Rumiko Takahashi did so herself when she created our lovable puppy. The ears, hair, claws, eyes, fangs, sense of smell and growling.

I happen to be a vivid fanfiction reader, and I have come across all types of actions and likenesses attributed to Inuyasha b/c of his canine instincts/attributes.

Here are a couple of MY OWN Inu Traits...

1st Aspect:

>>His Ears
Inuyasha's ears were the thing that first drew me to him. Really, how can anyone not love those furry appendages? So soft, furry, twichy...and white! ^_~

Anyway, I believe that his ears are very sensitive to sound and touch. He can hear extremely well with those suckers. He can hear the faintest sound a good couple of miles away. The ears can pick up faint heartbeats also, as people write in fanfics where Kagome gets pregnant ^_^, I myself being accused of that.

They swivel around to catch noises and if you rub them softly, he starts to growl contently. Sort of like scratching a dog's ears and them leaning into your hand for more! ^ ^

2nd Aspect:

>>His Hair
His hair is an unnatural but cool looking white. But I see it as more of a whitish-silver. It's unruly and not very silky like his half-brother's. It's really long and comes to about his mid-back. So dreamy~~!

3rd Aspect:

>>His Claws
Ouch, don't those look sharp? Well, he uses them for several things. The main thing they're used for is fighing, offensive or defensive. He uses Claws of Blood when he has an injury and digs his claws into the wound to coat his talons with his blood. He then swipes at the enemy, his blood being used as an attack!

He also uses them for digging, climbing, and scratching.

4th Aspect:

>>His Eyes
His eyes are deep amber, like golden honey, as a hanyou. In his human form they're violet. When his eyes become glazed over, with passion or for whatever reason, his pupils dilate immensely, from his original cat-like appearance, so you can see more of the amber in his eyes.

When his eyes widen, from shock or surprise, the opposite happens. The black cat-like slit, known as his pupil, enlarges. But not to a drastic measurement, just enough to see the change.

5th Aspect:

>>His Fangs
Ah, those sharp little inscissors. But they are far from little, ne?
They are extremely sharp, like most dogs, and he uses them for a variety of things.

He can use them for eating and biting mainly. Duh! But--He can use his fangs to subdue a female by the back of her neck, like most male dogs, and he can mark his female mate with a bite to the juncture of her shoulder.

He also uses them to ward off unwanted...company. He'll bare his fangs threanteningly; usually when he's mad or growling at something that upsets him.

6th Aspect:

>>His Sense of Smell
His sense of smell is very keen. He can pick up scents and trails very easily. He can pick out individual scents, such as Kagome's, and new, foreign scents. Kagome's scent seems to have a soothing feeling to it as he likes to be near her and in her room a lot!!

Inuyasha can more than likely detect their moods by their scents and can often tell when a female is in 'heat'. Ever wonder why Inuyasha calls Kagome a 'bitch'? There's a hidden meaning behind it! ^_^

7th Aspect:

>>His Growling
His growling seems to accompany his anger all the time it seems. But why wouldn't it? He is a dog after all. And doesn't it sound adorable when he does it!? Ok, ok...maybe not for you manly guys--more like cool? Yeah. Well its both.

He growls when he's angry and jealous. He also growls soft growls--like soothing growls--with certain people or things. He'd growl softly if he had his ears rubbed! He'd growl softly to his new born pup! *awwww t'so cute!*

8th Aspect:

>>His Possessiveness
